Puri Mas Boutique resort is a mid sized resort located on the Mangsit beach area of Lombok. They have approximately 40 rooms available, ranging from regular rooms, to multi-bedroom villas with private pools. The resort has a romantic vibe, and does not allow children under 12 years of age.

We were traveling from Shanghai to Lombok, and had an overnight stop-over in Jakarta, so we arrived early in the morning to the airport. We had already arranged for a driver from the resort to pick us up, and he was waiting punctually to take us to the resort. The drive took approximately an hour, and we arrived just before 10am in the morning.
The staff was very welcoming, and served us welcome drinks while we waited to handle the check-in process. The villa was still being prepared, as we arrived early in the morning, but we were taken to the restaurant and could enjoy breakfast while waiting. We had hardly finished before we were given the keys, which was nice after a long trip.
The style of the whole resort feels pretty local, but with a modern touch. We stayed in the one bedroom villa with private pool. Upon entering the villa, the first sight was a big open area with a day bed, sun chairs, and even a whole kitchen area with a dining table. On the other side there was a lounge area. The pool also felt pretty spacious, and you could easily go back and forth with a few swim strokes.

The villa featured a bedroom with a big kind size bed, a small integrated sofa on the side, and a small desk. There was also some wardrobes for storage. Our villa had a semi-indoor bathroom with toilet and wash basin, however there was no door to close to the outdoor bathroom, so at night time you had to be careful with mosquitos when going to the toilet. The outdoor bathroom had a nice rain-style shower, and a small bathtub. The bed was very comfortable, and the whole villa was spacious enough for us. We of course spent most of the time outside by the pool anyway. The kitchen had a water dispenser, which was nice, so we didn’t have to ask for more water bottles all the time.
Most of our meals were had at the restaurant, by the beach. The breakfast was a mix of ala carte and buffet. Our favorite was the waffles, which were really crispy and nice. They had several types of juices, and mostly anything you’d require for a breakfast. You also have the option to have your breakfast delivered to your villa. However, we enjoyed starting the day looking over the ocean while eating so we never tried this.

At the evening they also serve dinner. There was a fair selection of dishes, and food was good. Some of the evenings they do have special events, and for some of those nights the meny was different as well. They also have several lounge areas down by the beach, perfect for grabbing a drink before dinner or relaxing a bit after, watching the sunset.
There are also a few other options along the beach which you can easily walk to, like Katamaran Resort and Jeeva Santai Villas
Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. It was our first visit to Lombok, and given the affordability and very nice staff who was taking good care of us, we are definitely opting to return again.
